About the event

Currently serving as NAHRO's Chair of Diversity Equity and Inclusion Advisory Committee, Ms. Elizabeth Glenn - Chairwoman Chair at US Africa Collaborative, Inc works with public housing authorities to develop policy recommendations and advocacy in the Equity space. As NAHRO's former Vice President and member of NAHRO's International Research and Global Exchange Committee, Ms. Glenn has had the privilege of traveling to Brussels (Belgium), Equador (Quito), Australia (Sydney and Melbourne), China (Shanghai, Beijing, Hanjhou, Xian, Changchun, Wuxi, and Jiyuguan) South Africa (Cape Town), and France (Lyon, Paris, and Pont de Claix) in the past nine years to give presentations on affordable housing, development of a shared services center, and an approach to culturally competent community development. Invited in 2013 by the International Urban Development Association headquartered in Paris, France, Ms. Glenn participated in a technical panel in the city of Pont de Claix in the Grenoble Metropolitan Agglomeration in France in an effort to help the city re-imagine it's future and develop a plan for social cohesion. Has led a delegation of housing professionals to Australia and hosted a professional exchange with housing professionals in South Africa in 2017. In 2019, Ms. Glenn led a delegation of academics and housing professionals on a 4 city professional exchange to South Africa to meet with universities, social housing organizations, and government officials to establish the US Africa Collaborative. In 2021, the US Africa Collaborative is presently planning a Symposium on Housing, Human Settlements, and Sustainable Development to be held in early 2022.
